Please read ALL of the information in this letter

Dear Mr Peng

Congratulations; University of Leicester has asked us to tell you that it is offering you a place for Communications and Electronic Engineering, H640; starting in September 2013 at point of entry 1.

The conditions of the offer are:

This offer is subject to you obtaining

Pass Foundation Year with 65% average including 70% in

Maths, Further Maths and Science. Obtain a minimum of 6.0 in

IELTS or 80 in the TOEFL Internet based test. Please note

that if you need a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK, you will

need to obtain at least 5.5 in reading, writing, listening

and speaking in IELTS (or equivalent in another Secure

English Language Test specified by the UK Border Agency).

.

It is important that you understand your offers and how to fulfil any conditions before making any replies. The following information below may help you to understand your offer, but if the conditions are not clear, please contact the university or college for clarification.

If your offer is unconditional, the university or college is offering you a place based on the qualifications you already hold. You may however be required to fulfil other non-academic conditions. If relevant, these will be detailed in the offer above.

If your offer is conditional, the university or college requires you to fulfil the conditions above before the place can be confirmed. They may specify that completed qualifications can be used to meet the conditions or they may exclude specific qualifications. The offer may require you to obtain certain grades or marks for qualifications you are taking, complete your current course, or obtain a certain number of UCAS Tariff points. Visit www.ucas.com/students/ucas_tariff/ for details of the Tariff. If you count Tariff points for an A level, you cannot also count Tariff points for an AS qualification in the same subject when calculating your overall Tariff score: the same applies to SQA Advanced Highers and Highers.

The offer may specify whether you can use completed qualifications to meet the conditions or it may exclude specific qualifications. For conditional offers including GCSEs or Scottish Standard Grades Grades A-C or 1-3 are usually considered to be a pass.

Reply deadline

You must log onto Track upon receipt of this letter to see whether a deadline date has been set. The date by which you must reply to your offers will normally be set once we have received decisions from all of the universities and colleges considering your application. A full explanation regarding your reply options can be found atwww.ucas.com/students//afteryouapply/replyingtoyouroffers. If you are still waiting for decisions from one or more of your choices but you wish to reply to offers that have already been made, you can use Track to cancel the choices with no decisions and make your replies.

Offers with early start dates

If you want to accept a place on a course that starts before your reply date as notified on Track, please contact the university or college concerned to discuss when you should reply to its offer. Please be aware that the university or college may withdraw this offer if you do not accept it before their specified deadline.

Tuition fees for UK and EU students

UK and EU applicants will be charged tuition fees each year. Universities and colleges are also offering bursaries and scholarships to some students. To find out what tuition fees you will be charged and whether you might be eligible for a bursary or scholarship, you should refer to the university's or college's website or prospectus. Some universities or colleges may also send you supplementary information on this. Bursary and scholarship information may be subject to the outcome of financial assessments or other criteria, such as exam results.

Meeting conditions of an offer

Unless the university or college states otherwise you must satisfy the conditions of your offer by 31 August 2013, even if your place is deferred to 2014 entry.

You must also satisfy all general course requirements for entry. If you have any queries about these, please contact your university or college. Further terms and conditions of your contract with your university or college appear at the end of this letter. Please read them.

If your examination arrangements change, let both us and your universities and colleges know. They will change their decisions on your application if they need to.

Further terms and conditions

A university or college may have to withdraw a course after making an offer. Read page 7 of your Applicant Welcome Guide for further information.

If you become a student, it will be a term of your contract with the university or college that it will take all reasonable

steps to provide the educational services described in its prospectus and other promotional material. If they are unable to provide these services for any reason, they will do all they can to keep the disruption to your education as small as possible.

Your offer is made on the understanding that in accepting it you will observe the university's or college's Charter, Statutes, Ordinances and Resolutions and abide by the rules and regulations for its students. By accepting your offer you accept these terms and conditions so you must read about them in the university or college prospectus first.

We wish you every success with your other applications. We will contact you again when we receive further decisions from your choices.

Yours sincerely
